I just got this email that seems to have been making the rounds to some conservative bloggers and activists. Apparently, a handful of former Fred Thompson supporters are keeping the faith. They’ve been trying to organize grassroots supporters to vote for Thompson anyway, despite the fact that he’s dropped out of the race…
There is a reason Fred Thompson hasn’t endorsed any other Republican candidate for President. If the FRED ARMY can come through on Super Tuesday and deliver a victory in Tennessee, he will re-enter the race and give us the conservative alternative we need!
Mitt Romney is a phony conservative. John McCain is an honorable servant, but he is not the right man to represent our party. Mike Huckabee is a liberal in conservative clothing.
Only Fred Thompson can save our party and our nation.
Fred may not be out on the campaign trail, but you can be. His name is still on the ballot and we can still get the word out. This election year is unlike any other. Fred Thompson was leading the polls before he got into the race, there’s no good reason why he can’t lead again.
Get out and vote for Fred! Wave signs for Fred! Call friends, call family members, open the phone book and call everyone! Make a YouTube video or share an eCard to remind people they can still vote for Fred.
Victory in Tennessee means victory for America!
We can and we must win!
Imagine the headlines: Thompson wins more delegates than Ron Paul or Mike Huckabee! Thompson beats Huckabee in California, Alabama, and New York! Thompson re-enters race as Romney and Huckabee drop out!
WE CAN DO IT! LET’S MAKE IT HAPPEN!
FRED THOMPSON 2008 - FRED FOREVER!
The idea isn’t quite as crazy as it might sound. Back in 1992, Paul Tsongas suspended his campaign and then rejoined the race, thinking Clinton had been fatally wounded by a string of sex scandals. It didn’t quite work for Tsongas, but he did perform well in New York.
But Tsongas had won several other states before dropping out, collecting hundreds of delegates. Fred Thompson hasn’t come close. He finished second in Wyoming and third in South Carolina and Iowa. He had been awarded only 11 delegates prior to ending his campaign a couple of weeks ago.
Thompson just might win a couple of delegates today, but it’s doubtful this effort will entice the former Senator back into the race. Particularly considering how little he seems to have wanted the job in the first place.

I hope Thompson is reconsidering. This election cycle is unlike anything I’ve seen in my 59 years, and anything can happen. Just ask Rudy.
I’ll vote for Thompson, Romney second, but I can never vote for McCain. I respect his service as a soldier and citizen, but he’s been in bed with Ted Kennedy,et al, too many times in the recent past. No way.

I will vote Thompson in the Primary and in the general election. Why should America be faced with voting for one of two Democrats; Clinton or McCain. The Republican Party has not one single Republican left on the ballot. Look at their records at http://www.pinnaclecascade.com
Ann Coulter is already promoting Hillary Clinton over McCain (see story at Pinnacle).
Now McCain is sleeping with Lieberman on a 50 cent per gallon federal gasoline tax legislation they wrote together. Why is McCain always writing legislation with left-wing libs? Because he is one himself.
It’s time for Fred D. Thompson.

Actually, this might work if he came out quickly. There are many who see the tear in the Republican party and might turn to Thompson because they know the current nominees will not win with such a split. Never say never.

Dear Friends of Fred,
Even the Most True Blue,
Let’s not just rely on wishful thinking. Let’s take the matter into our own hands by dedicating a bit of our time each day to saying a prayer unto God our Father for the resurrection of the Fred Dalton Thompson Campaign. If we really believe that Fred Dalton Thompson is the best person to take the reigns of the nation at this time, let petitions to this effect be placed in the hands of our Heavenly Father by his Holy Angels. Prayers are petitions. When we speak the prayers, those petitions are delivered intact. I have started the The FredHead Chapel over on the Fredheads.com discussion board to promote this effort, which I see as the only arrow that goes straight to the center of the target of our highest hopes.
Please take a few moments to read the founding principles of the chapel, which extend from Fred’s Mention of God in His First Principle, and explore the Prayer Room at the U.S. Capitol, beginning with the beautiful stained glass window which I have included in the presentation, and then take a look at the suggested prayers, and associated prayer cards that you can print out on your printer.
Remember, if General Patton was correct, and even wise, in petitioning the Almighty for clear weather, so are we correct, and even wise to petition the Almighty for the Parting of the Red Sea for the only candidate that will carry the torch of solid conservative principles into the White House. Conservative principles are good for the nation. Conservative principles are good for the well-being of every citizen. Conservative principles are good for the whole earth, because a strong America is good for the whole earth. God will hear our petitions. But we must speak. A silent petitioner, is an unheard petitioner.
Keep the Hope Alive!
Sincerely,
Steven S. Showers,
Newbury Park, CA

Nobody was a stronger supporter for Fred than I, but c’mon guys, give it up. Fred should have endorsed Mitt when he got out as the closest to Fred’s principles and beliefs. Set down that crack pipe now and step back from the edge!

The Rascals in the National Republican Party have taken the nomination from the people. We conservatives ARE THE MAJORITY OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY! There have to be those among uswho have the knowhow to recapture the Party.IF NOT, then a New Party drafting Thompson.Zell Miller of Georgia might make a great addition as a running mate.

He’s broke

The best strategy is to pressure McCain to put his
friend Fred into the V.P. slot to ad some “conservative” influence. We can take the position that FRED is in with the ticket, or at least 10% of the base will actually not vote in the presidential portion of the ballot! we should concentrate on getting good people into the house and senate!

Wow! This is the best news I have heard in awhile.
I voted for Huckabee in the Arizona primary only because my candidate dropped out. (Fred Thompson)
If he makes it through this mess he definetely has my vote. Thanks for the info.
